Welcome to the Wonderful World of Wahoo
Phew, what a year! We attended three yacht shows, rubbed shoulders
with the stars at a supercar event in Monaco, acted as a floating
viewing platform at the Monaco Grand Prix – and had time to launch a
new model. As with previous years, the highlight was the Monaco Yacht
Show where we displayed all three models in the currrent range as part
of our exclusive tie-up with Burgess. Big thanks to Burgess and
everyone who has supported us throughout the year!

Pure SX
Wahoo has launched a lightweight sports version of its highly acclaimed
Barracuda.
The new Barracuda SX shares many of the design features of the 600HP
model, but has a single 350HP engine, a revised seating configuration
and weighs around 20% less than its sister vessel.
Unveiled at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, the SX uses the same Lorne
Campbell designed 9.2m hull and, in initial sea trials, reach a speed
of 57 knots, a pace she is expected to exceed with further prop
refinements.
The SX will retail at £129,000 (plus tax) placing her firmly within
reach of the top end UK leisure buyer, although she will still have
appeal in Wahoo’s core market of Superyacht owners.
Wahoo’s technical director Julian Willmott said: “Since the launch of
the Barracuda we have had strong interest from the UK but needed a
vessel with the right specification and at the price point. The SX
ticks all the right boxes and is still built to the same exacting
standards as our other boats.”
Wahoo now has three models in its line-up, the 600HP Barracuda, the
700 HP RX and now the SX.
Beat Q
Wahoo has amazing deals on two used boats available for immediate
delivery. Finished with grey tubes and orange seats, our two-year-old
700 HP RX certainly turns heads.
The RX (above) is yours for a lowly £130,000 plus tax.
We also have our ex demonstrator Barracuda
( see below) for sale at £105,000 plus tax.
Jet set
Plans are underway to develop a 7.4m jet rib using an adapted version
of the legendary Barracuda hull.
The boat is being designed to meet the needs of superyachtowners
looking for a shorter tender to fit into their garages.
The new boat will share to good looks of the Barracuda but with fewer
seats and an inboard jet engine.
Born in USA
The Wahoo is at last available in the US following the signing of an
agency agreement with Ian Burry Yacht Management in Miami. Captain Ian
Burry, who runs the business, will now offer the full range of Wahoos.
Wahoo also has dealers in France, Spain Turkey and the UK.
